COVID-19 Rules and Updates Already in Place
Commencing 16 October 2020:
- Restrictions at hospitality venues will be eased to allow 1 customer per 2 square metres in outdoor areas;
- 500 people will now be able to attend outdoor seated music performances.
Rules Which Continue To Apply:
- Theatres, cinemas and concert halls across NSW will be able to increase capacity up to 50%, to a maximum of 1000 people per venue.
- 20 guests are allowed to take to the dance floor at weddings, however, rotations of guests are not allowed;
- Kindergarten orientation, year 7 transition, excursions and camps can now resume;
- High school formals are permitted from 12 November 2020;
- Students are allowed to resume playing wind instruments, singing and chanting at schools;
- Year 6 formals and graduations are permitted;
- Both parents or guardians may now attend community sporting activities if physical distancing can be maintained;

- No more than 20 visitors at a home at any one time or fines will apply;
- People attending an auction or viewing a home will be exempt from the 20 visitor rule;
- Public places of worship to abide by the 1 person per 4 square metre rule.
